DEDICATED TO THE PEOPLE OF SAN NICOLAS, PANGASINAN, PHILIPPINES

THE HOMEPAGE OF ALL SAN NICOLANIANS, FOR ALL SAN NICOLANIANS, AND BY ALL SAN NICOLANIANS

"Wherever they are, whatever their stations in life, San Nicolanians always carry with them that San Nicolas spirit of togetherness and reaching out . . .

There is a Spanish word - 'querencia' - that best describes this esprit de corps. It means a sense and love of place. Especially to the expatriates, it is a pining for the old hometown - of friends, neighbors, and relations in the days of yore. In thoughts and dreams, they tread the familiar grounds of home, ride astride a carabao or catch crabs, frogs and fish in the ricefields, play hide-and-seek in the streets on moonlit nights, ford the rivers and streams which have helped sustain their roots that run so deep, and roam the valley and hills, looking heavenward in thankfulness for the blessings showered on the town." - Pedronio O. Ramos

An Invitation Call To Help Build This Website

Fellow San Nicolanians,

This is an invitation call to all our kakailian at home and abroad to help build this website for which purpose is to bring all San Nicolanians closer together.  Guided by the spirit of collective unity and bayanihan and with the driving force of esprit de corps, we will embark on this task to make this gathering place not only to unite all San Nicolanians from all corners of the world but also to make everyone feel closer to our hometown.

An online forum is now being setup where we share ideas....ideas that could transform into collaborative projects that will benefit the people of San Nicolas. A monthly newsletter from San Nicolas to be contributed by Manong Ped Ramos will be featured which will keep us all abreast of what's going on around our hometown. We will also link up all groups of San Nicolanians abroad so that kakailian at home are also updated with all the happenings of San Nicolas expatriates.

Below are existing San Nicolanian groups abroad. Volunteer correspondents and regular contributors from each of these groups are welcome  to send any articles and other information to be published on this site. San Nicolanians from other parts of the U.S. and Canada as well as from the Middle East and Europe are also welcome to send news from their ownplaces. Click below for more information about each group.

You can help build this website by sending your materials (creative writings, articles, photos, video clips, family events news or hometown news) to webmaster@sannicolanians.org. All hard copies or anything that needs to be scanned, send by snail mail to San Nicolanians, 10S140 Havens Drive, Downers Grove, IL 60516, USA. Your comments, questions, as well as suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thank you and I look forward to us making this website of all San Nicolanians, for all San Nicolanians, and by all San Nicolanians.

Toy sidadayaw nga kailian yo,

Ed. Tamondong, Jr.
